Description

A fine French cello bow by Victor Thomassin, weighing 79g, made circa 1900. Crafted in the Mirecourt tradition and reflecting the influence of his training with C. N. Bazin, this bow is constructed from quality pernambuco and mounted in silver. It offers a light yet strong and well-balanced playing stick, with excellent control and a responsive feel under the hand. The bow draws a clear, focused tone from the instrument, with good articulation and projection across the strings. It has been recently and carefully refurbished and is in excellent playing condition. A fine example of Thomassin’s work, well suited to advanced players and professionals seeking a refined and responsive cello bow. Available for trial.
