German workshop viola dating from the 1890s, typical of the Markneukirchen tradition. The instrument is constructed from well-selected tonewoods and follows the classic outline and craftsmanship of late 19th-century German making. It produces a warm, full tone with good depth and carries well, making it suitable for both study and ensemble playing. The viola is in good playing condition and has been set up for immediate use.
